The darkrooms in DCU were decommissioned in June 2013 and are, unfortunately, no more.
The end of an era for us here having operated darkrooms as part of the BA in Communications since 1980 (Black & White) and 1999 (Colour).

How this works . . . .

If you wish to use the darkrooms, you must book in advance with me in C100b in the Henry Grattan building. You must book in person, I will not accept a booking on your behalf by a third party. Also, I will not accept a group booking, bookings must be made on an individual basis.
There are four enlargers available for colour printing and the rule is one enlarger per person, I do not allow the sharing of enlargers.
The processing room will accommodate four people at any one time.
You can book the darkrooms through me by calling in person, by phone or by email.

Darkroom Access

PLEASE NOTE - IF YOU HAVE SEVERAL SESSIONS BOOKED AND YOU FAIL TO TURN UP, ALL SUBSEQUENT SESSIONS WILL BE CANCELLED.

IF YOU CANNOT MAKE IT FOR YOUR BOOKING YOU MUST INFORM ME.

If you find that you have time booked and no longer need it, it must be cancelled through me and must not be passed on to a third party.

Each darkroom session (morning or afternoon) can accommodate 4 people at any one time. People are not allowed to share enlargers and you must book a space in advance through me in C100b.
